This Study Series focuses on the report of the 2009/2010 Group of Governmental Experts on developments in the field of information and telecommunications in the context of international security (A/65/201). It also includes the two reports of the Secretary-General containing the views of Member States (A/66/152 and A/65/154).
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the United Nations Register of Conventional Arms, the Office for Disarmament Affairs is publishing this special edition of the Disarmament Study Series. This volume contains a newly written overview of the Register for reference by Governments and the interested public, original material to guide national points of contact in preparing and submitting reports for the Register, and the report of the 2016 Group of Governmental Experts on the continuing operation of the Register.
This publication contains the report of the Group of Governmental Experts to make recommendations on possible aspects that could contribute to but not negotiate a treaty banning the production of fissile material for nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices, which held four sessions in 2014 and 2015. In the report, the Group outlined the details of its deliberations, characterized the range of expert views on aspects of a treaty and presented its conclusions and recommendations.
This publication contains the study on outer space transparency and confidence-building measures conducted by the Group of Governmental Experts on Transparency and Confidence-Building Measures in Outer Space Activities, which held sessions in July 2012, July 2013 and April 2013.
